17 Weeks, 4 Days

Here is my belly shot:

It still looks the same as 3 weeks ago and if my shirt is down then you honestly can't tell I'm pregnant AT ALL. I can't believe in a little over two weeks that I'll be halfway done with this pregnancy. I'm still waiting on that growth spurt! Oh well, as long as the baby looks healthy at my ultrasound in 6 days then that's all that matters to me :)

Yeah Baby!

I'm so excited to finally say that I felt my baby move! It happened last night when I layed down to go to sleep. I felt a little poke so I poked back and then s/he poked back at me :) It was so exciting and I can't wait for it to happen again. I've been poking myself since then but nothing yet. I guess there really is a baby in there! The countdown is on: 7 days until we find out the gender.

Nursery

I just thought I'd share some of my choices for furniture and bedding for the nursery. Here is the furniture I want:

Girl Bedding: (I'm not sure if the first one would look good with the white crib?)

Boy Bedding: (also don't know how this first one would work with a white crib?)

Opinions? Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving everyone :)

New name

I mentioned before the names that my husband and I had picked out, but we decided to change the boy name. We're still absolutely set on Avery Grace for a girl but we went from Liam Daniel to Logan Daniel now. Honestly, I like Liam better but my husband changed his mind so we had to pick another one that we could agree on. I can't wait to go buy pink or blue! Also, a new symptom this week is that my stomach is so sore. It feels like I had a hard workout and now my muscles ache. Our little love is growing in there :) Oh, and heartburn sucks. Hello Tums, I heart you.

p.s. Does the humane society commercial have to show so many pics of abused and deformed animals? It gets me every time! *tear*

I'm So Excited!

I went to my doctors appointment today and they checked the heartbeat and said it was perfect :) phew! I worry myself too much. The doctor didn't say anything about my weight so I guess it's normal. They also scheduled my next ultrasound in TWO WEEKS, so we'll get to find out the gender then! I can't express how excited I am about finding out that soon. I thought we would have to wait four weeks instead. I am so going on a shopping spree after that appointment. I am counting down the hours until 9:30 am on December 4th. I can't stop praising God for blessing my husband and I with this little one. I've never been happier!

16 weeks 2 days...worry much?

Ok, so i'm a little confused about how much weight I should have gained by now? I'm also still concerned about my belly size :( At my first doctors appointment at 6 weeks and 3 days i weighed 134 lbs. At my second appointment at 12 weeks and 3 days i lost 6 lbs and went down to 128 lbs. I then went down to 126 lbs and now at 16 weeks and 2 days i'm back to 128 lbs. I'm just worried if i'm suppossed to be gaining more weight by now. My belly also seems to not be getting any bigger since like 12 weeks. Here are some belly pics:

I dont see any difference from week 12, and actually it kind of looks smaller! I dont know if i'm obsessing too much over it or not. I also haven't felt the baby at all yet either :( My doctors appointment is tomorrow so I'm going to bring up my concerns about my lack of weight gain or belly growth. Alot of people I've seen pictures of at 16 weeks have alot bigger bellies than me! I'd love to hear some opinions on weight gain and belly growth from anyone. I'm just praying for a strong heartbeat and that everything goes well tomorrow.

I'm really excited about some things I bought today! While out and about I spotted two pieces of furniture at an antique store that I love. One is a side table for a lamp or whatever for the nursery and the other is a small children's hutch that I'm going to repaint and spiff up a bit. I also bought a cute diaper bag that was on clearance at Pee.bles that I couldn't pass up. There were also some very cute summer baby clothes for girls on clearance (2.99!). I did however hold myself back from buying those because we obviously don't know what the gender is yet for another month. Here are my lovely purchases:

The Tree!

A little random?

I'd just like to say that I may officially be deemed crazy by others. I put the Christmas tree up today :) I know, its not even Thanksgiving yet but I have a good reason to put it up so early. My husband and I are leaving December 19th to go visit family in Massachusetts for two weeks for Christmas, so I'll be taking it down a few days before we leave. There is no way I'm going to leave my tree up for my two cats to destroy while we're gone. They're already biting it! I am also happy to say that all of my Christmas shopping is DONE.

OK, so lately almost every time I walk into my kitchen, one of the bottom cabinets is open. I'll close it and then the next time I walk in there...it's open again! Well, today I caught the culprit:

As for my pregnancy, I'm 15 weeks and 5 days. I've been having heartburn more often, but thankfully the nausea is almost nonexistent. My belly is slowly starting to show some more, but not enough for other people to notice that I'm pregnant. I have a doctors appointment this coming Friday the 20th which I'm really looking forward to. All I need is to hear that heartbeat and I'll feel alot better. I'll also get to find out if they can schedule my gender ultrasound in time before we go on our trip to Massachusetts. I'm so thankful for this blessing that God has given us!

14 Weeks

Today marks 14 weeks :) Our baby is the length of a lemon! I'm so excited to make it this far and can't wait for my next doctor's appointment in 2 weeks and 3 days. I need to hear that little heartbeat. I thought I was going to make it through this pregnancy without tossing my cookies, but last night after eating chinese food and a caramel latte I guess our little lemon wasn't too thrilled! Hopefully that was my first and last time to get that sick. Unfortunately I'm not showing yet, as I only have a little "pooch". I'm just so ready to have that baby bump and actually look pregnant instead of some extra chub. 182 days until we meet our baby!
