32 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 40 1/8"

8 weeks to go! That is insane! I'm getting so so excited to meet this little girl. I'm pretty sure we're getting another sonogram at 36 weeks so I'm looking forward to that too! I really want to double check that she's still a she. The weeks are just flying by!

In house news, the new house will officially be ours March 17th! Yes, that is 8 days before I'm due. Because of the timing, we'll be bringing Elise home to our current house and won't be moving into the new one until we get all of the work done on it. We'll be replacing all the floors, windows, re doing the kitchen and bathrooms, painting, scraping ceilings, and who knows what else. We also have to get our current house ready to sell. Now that I've accepted that we won't be in the the new house before Elise gets here, I really need to start preparing for her arrival! I really haven't done anything. I haven't bought any diapers, the stroller, or car seat. I've really just bought some clothes for her and that's about it. I need to wash all of her clothes, organize the spare room to put her clothes in, get the bassinet and swing out, and just all over get my house in order.

54 days give or take to go!!!

30 Weeks & Big Changes Are Coming!

Belly Measurement: 39 3/4"

Weight: 138 lbs. (lost 2 lbs from last doc appt at 28 weeks. The flu will do that! So far I'm only up 5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight)

All was well at my doctor's appointment yesterday. I'm measuring right on track and baby's heartbeat sounds perfect. They said they're going to give me the Tdap vaccine at my next appointment. I'm not so sure about that. I'm feeling very conflicted about vaccinating myself while pregnant. I haven't had a vaccine since I was a child! What do you think? Does anyone have an opinion on this? The way the doctor said it, was like it wasn't even optional (which I know it's my choice). She just asked if I had the vaccine and when I said no, she said "ok, we'll give that to you next appointment". And that was the end of that discussion. Hmph. Is the whooping cough that much of a risk that I should inject myself while pregnant??? I'd really appreciate ANY input on the matter.

This past week my husband, Avery, & I were really sick! We're not sure if it was the flu or not, but Avery and I both had fevers up to 104! Not fun. I was very close to calling my OB, but thankfully I got my fever down with Tylenol. We're all feeling better now, but the cough and stuffy nose is hanging on for dear life.

In very exciting news, our offer got accepted on the house! We're just waiting for the woman that lives there to come back from vacation to sign the papers. I "think" she'll be back the 21st and then we can figure out exactly when we'll get the house. It should be about 30 days. It's a little crazy that we'll be moving and selling our house so close to Elise coming, but God's timing is always perfect!

29 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 39 3/4"

In non pregnancy related news, we're putting an offer on a house today! We've been looking for a house for 2 years and have looked at about 15 houses and put offers on 2 other houses. Hopefully, this will be it!

28 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 39 1/2"

Weight: 140 lbs (+7 lbs so far)

I had a doctor's appointment today and everything went great. Elise's heart rate was in the 140's. I had to do my glucose test and get my blood drawn. I'm guessing I'll get the results of that at my next appointment, or I'll get an automated call. I gained 5 lbs from my last appointment four weeks ago. I'm only up 7 lbs from my starting weight. I lost 8 lbs in the first trimester though, so if you count the weight I've gained back, I've gained 14 total. I'll be having my appointments every two weeks now, so my next one is January 17th. Time is flying!
