19 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 36 3/4" (excuse my tag in the picture haha)

So...we're having a girl. WOW. I'll be honest and say that I was completely SHOCKED! My mom went with my husband, Avery, and I to the sonogram. While the tech was looking at the baby she asked what  

Avery thought the baby was and I told her that she says "girl baby" a lot. Then the tech said "looks like she's right!". Um, wait a minute. What?! "Yep, looks like a girl!". She only looked at it for a split second and I couldn't really see that well so I had her check again before we were done and sure enough, there were the three lines! Most importantly, she looked very healthy!

As you know in a few of my other posts, I was absolutely, for sure, without a doubt, convinced that this baby was a boy. I'm not really sure why I felt that way, but I just had a "feeling". I may or may not have bought some boy clothes already. I'm going to say that my mother's intuition is horrible! ha! To be honest, if I HAD to choose what I wanted this baby to be, I would have chosen another girl! We get to reuse all of Avery's cute clothes (they'll be in the same season) and I think she'll have so much fun with a sister! I can see the matching outfits now :) I always wanted a sister growing up, so I am just way too excited for Avery to have a sister. Plus, the thought of another sweet baby girl just puts me over the edge! Is it March yet?!

GIRL!!!

Are you shocked? Because I certainly was! I am so so excited for Avery to have a sister! Ah, another sweet baby girl. I'm in love!

18 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 36 1/4"

This week, all I can think about is finding out the gender...in 2 days...eek! Baby's movements are getting stronger and it's so awesome! My husband felt him/her for the first time on Saturday (17 weeks 5 days) so that was very exciting! This morning when I woke up, my belly was lopsided and sticking up on the right side so I pushed on it a little and the baby kicked back a few times! Every time I feel the baby move I am just filled with so much joy.

I am still down 6 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight so I expect that will be changing very soon! My appetite is getting bigger and bigger.

I'll post again on Saturday after we have our gender reveal party! Prayers for a healthy baby at our sonogram are welcome!

17 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 36"

17 weeks already! I can't believe that in 3 weeks I will be half way done. I love feeling the little babe and he/she is poking me as I type this! It'll be so exciting when the movements get stronger. I've been feeling good lately, except for the occasional heartburn. 

It's still hard for me to believe that we're going to get a baby at the end of all of this. I think it'll feel way more real after we have the ultrasound and find out what the gender is. I'm just praying the baby is healthy. That's all that matters!

8 days!!!

Doctor's Appointment

I had my doctor's appointment today and everything went well. My blood pressure, weight, & baby's heartbeat were good. I'm still down 6 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. They scheduled my sonogram, so we're definitely finding out on the 25th at 2:00 pm! I think we're going to have a small get together/gender reveal at my parent's house on the Saturday after the appointment. I'm so excited to find out what we're having and make sure baby is healthy in there!

16 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 36"

I got a doppler this past Thursday and I love it! I've found the heartbeat everyday and it's so reassuring. The baby's heartbeat is about 145 bpm (adding to my theory that baby is a boy!). I've been feeling the baby move stronger and more often now, too. It's still little "pops" in there, but it's definitely the baby! 

We have officially decided on names, so that's exciting! We've had a boy name decided for a while, but just came to an agreement on a girl name. Another reason I think the baby is a boy is that we decided on a boy name right away, but could not agree on a girl's name for the longest time. When I was pregnant with Avery, we had her name picked out right away but couldn't agree on a boy's name for a while. I'm going to look really silly if this baby is a girl, huh? haha! I would absolutely LOVE for Avery to have a sister though, since I always wanted one growing up. I just want to KNOW! 17 days until the mystery is solved!

15 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 35 3/4"

There's nothing new to really say about this week. Nausea is about 90% gone, so that's good! I still have a cold that I caught from Avery though. Also, I think I'm a little more gassy this week (if that's even possible!).

I'm "patiently" waiting for my doctor's appointment in 10 days. Please pray that there is a strong heartbeat!
