26 Weeks & a blog award :)

Thanks Mommy-in-waiting for this blog award! :)

The rules are simple- just give 7 fun facts about yourself and then nominate 7 people for the beautiful blogger award.

1. First and foremost, I'm a christian.

2. My husband and I are "high school sweethearts". We've been together for a little over five and a half years. He's definitely my soulmate :)

3. I have two cats: Abby & Lillian. Lillian is a boy...but we thought he was a girl at first and I just couldn't change his name! I'm often referred to as the "crazy cat lady".

4. I love to scrapbook.

5. I went to hairdressing school and have my hairdressing license but I decided it wasn't the career for me.

6. I hate any kind of bug...eew.

7. My husband and I just moved to Pennsylvania (where I'm from) from Massachusetts (where he's from) less than a year ago. We plan on moving back to Massachusetts sometime in the near future.

I nominate:

On another note, today I'm 26 weeks.
Belly Measurement: 38 1/4"
Today I realized that I only have 3 1/2 months until Avery is here. Wow. Now I'm starting to get nervous! I'm mostly nervous about giving birth and how much my life is going to change. Don't get me wrong, it's going to be a change for the better, but it's going to be a drastic one. Also, my skin is definitely s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g. It actually feels like my stomach is sunburnt. Well, I guess that's it for now. I hope everyone has an awesome week :)

Coming along...

The nursery is coming along nicely. Here is the room with the drywall up and ready to be mudded:

The belly is coming along too...

Here is my husband & I:

This is kind of a random post but I just thought I'd share :)

Here we are, 25 weeks!!!

Belly Measurement: 37 3/4"
Nothing new has really happened lately symptoms wise. Every week that passes by is so exciting! Our little love is going to be here before we know it. I have to admit that ever since I heard the words "it's a girl" I've been a little shopping crazy. This little sugar plum is going to have so many clothes! I just can't resist those adorable little girly things :) Nursery progress is moving along, which I'm excited about. We ordered the new windows and they'll be in in two weeks. I'm also excited for my baby shower that my sister in law is throwing me in Massachusetts March 27th and my mom is throwing me one here in Pennsylvania April 10th. I feel so thankful for this gift that God has given me.

Nursery Project

We have ALOT of work to do on the nursery to get it ready. We're ripping the paneling off the walls, putting drywall up, putting new trim on and painting it white, replacing the windows, carpeting, redoing the closet, and painting the walls. Phew! My husband and my dad started the project today. Here are the before pics:

This is going to be our crib & dresser/changing table:

And the bedding:

I'm excited to start this project and can't wait to see the end product! I'll be taking more pictures as we go :)

24 weeks

37 1/4"
As far as symptoms go, I'm getting really bad heartburn lately. Thank goodness for Tums! She is moving around like CRAZY, especially when it's time for bed. Speaking of bedtime, it's not my favorite time these days. I just can't seem to get comfortable and last night I layed awake for a long time before I fell asleep.
I got Avery's coming home outfit:

I can't wait to see her in it :) 16 weeks to go!

23 weeks

Wow, am I 23 weeks pregnant already?! This pregnancy seems to be flying by ever since the second trimester began. It gets more exciting each week because I can feel her kicks becoming stronger :) The rolling movements feel so weird! My belly is also growing fast and is so itchy. I'm making sure that I keep my skin moisturized, especially since it's winter time. I definitely need to buy some more maternity clothes because one pair of maternity jeans and one maternity shirt just aren't cutting it. I found some basic long tank tops from Aero.postale that are great for going under shirts that aren't long enough anymore. I really like the long sleeved maternity shirts at Old.Navy too, and they're only $10! Here is my weekly belly pic:
