Doctor's Appointment

I had my doctor's appointment today and everything went well. My blood pressure, weight, & baby's heartbeat were good. I'm still down 6 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. They scheduled my sonogram, so we're definitely finding out on the 25th at 2:00 pm! I think we're going to have a small get together/gender reveal at my parent's house on the Saturday after the appointment. I'm so excited to find out what we're having and make sure baby is healthy in there!

16 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 36"

I got a doppler this past Thursday and I love it! I've found the heartbeat everyday and it's so reassuring. The baby's heartbeat is about 145 bpm (adding to my theory that baby is a boy!). I've been feeling the baby move stronger and more often now, too. It's still little "pops" in there, but it's definitely the baby! 

We have officially decided on names, so that's exciting! We've had a boy name decided for a while, but just came to an agreement on a girl name. Another reason I think the baby is a boy is that we decided on a boy name right away, but could not agree on a girl's name for the longest time. When I was pregnant with Avery, we had her name picked out right away but couldn't agree on a boy's name for a while. I'm going to look really silly if this baby is a girl, huh? haha! I would absolutely LOVE for Avery to have a sister though, since I always wanted one growing up. I just want to KNOW! 17 days until the mystery is solved!

15 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 35 3/4"

There's nothing new to really say about this week. Nausea is about 90% gone, so that's good! I still have a cold that I caught from Avery though. Also, I think I'm a little more gassy this week (if that's even possible!).

I'm "patiently" waiting for my doctor's appointment in 10 days. Please pray that there is a strong heartbeat!

14 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 35 1/2"

So far, I've been feeling so much better! I really only start to feel crappy at night sometimes or if I let myself get too hungry. Thank goodness the nausea is on it's way out!

I also am pretty positive that I felt the baby move on Friday at 13 weeks and 4 days! It was just a little tiny poke on the inside a couple of times. Since then I "think" I have felt it a few times and it's so exciting! It's always down low on my left side. I hope it's just not gas...because I've been having a lot of that lately haha.

I'm feeling much better about this pregnancy and just trusting my God that everything will be o.k. I'm getting more and more excited everyday! 

The countdown to my next appointment is on: 17 days! I can't WAIT to hear that heartbeat. Prayers would be appreciated! Oh, and 4 weeks until we find out if this little love is a boy or girl!

13 Weeks

Belly Measurement: 35 1/4"

This week I'm starting to slowly feel better. Yes! I'm 13 weeks and 2 days today.

There's not too much to talk about symptom-wise this week, but I will say that my anxiety is through the roof! All of the sudden, I just woke up and had this horrible feeling that something is wrong. This started yesterday and has continued today. I really was freaking myself out last night and was searching for dopplers on Ebay. I know we just heard the heartbeat on Thursday, but the fear creeping inside of me says "something could've happened between then and now!". I'm not normally a worrier, so this has caught me completely off guard. I feel so guilty for all of this doubt and fear I have running through me. Today I was out to lunch with my cousin and I literally just shut down and was paralyzed with worry. I really haven't worried that much so far, so I'm confused why it's creeping up on me right now! I think it's because I am finally starting to let myself be attached to this baby.

As I type this now later in the evening, I feel so much better about it all. I was at a friend's house tonight and looked up on her wall and there was a plaque that read: 

Ten tiny words of power...If it is to be. It is up to me.

 How true is that! God is in control, and I'm so glad of that! He has a plan for my life and everything that he sets before me, happens for a reason. At that moment, I cast my cares upon Him and what a weight that was lifted off of me! This baby and myself are in His hands, and there's no other place I'd rather be. 

12 Weeks & a Doctor's Appointment

I'm 12 weeks and 4 days pregnant today. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and we heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time! It was amazing. Loud and clear at 165 bpm! What a relief. I think I'm finally starting to realize that this is really happening. I have my next appointment in 4 weeks on 10/11. At that appointment, they'll schedule my next sonogram for 2 weeks later where we'll get to find out the gender!!

As for how I'm feeling, not too well at the moment. For starter's, the nausea is still lingering and maybe even a little worse than it was a week ago. On top of that, Avery gave me her cold and I feel miserable today!

I just look fat to strangers, ha! I think within the next few weeks, other people will be able to tell.

I'm so grateful that our baby is still doing great in there! Praise God!

28 Months Old

At 28 months old, Avery:

-wears size 18-24 months, 2T, and some 3T clothes. She wears size 7 shoes and size 5 diapers 

-"Twinkle Twinkle" is her favorite song to sing

-is starting to be more aware that there is a baby in mommy's belly

-starting to play dress-up more

-is excited for Halloween! She changes her mind on what she wants to be all the time.
