Seven Months Old

At 7 months Avery:
-is wearing size 6-12 month clothing & size 1 shoes

-wears size 3 diapers

-eats 6 oz. formula every three hours & has eaten (reluctantly) rice cereal, peas, butternut squash, apples, & bananas. She also enjoys puffs & yogurt melts.
-weighs 16.2 lbs

-has fallen in love with her jumperoo all over again
-loves looking at her self in the mirror

-says "dadadadadadada"

-enjoys mama singing to her (she's the only one that would enjoy it haha)
-has mastered sitting up by herself (occasionally tumbles over)

-rocks back and forth on all fours & scoots backwards & pivots

-has taken a few naps in her crib & slept in it a few nights. Since she got sick however, she is sleeping in her bassinet again because she gets more sleep in it. As soon as she's back to 100% it's back to her crib in her room!

-got sick for the first time

-loves to be bounced up and down

-belly laughs all.the.time.

It's ridiculous that my little baby is not such a little baby anymore! She's developed quite the personality and we can't picture our lives when we didn't have her. I love my Avery Grace! Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure :)

Avery's first time being sick :(

When we went to visit family for Thanksgiving, Avery's cousin had a cough. Well, the day after we got home Avery started having a cough. The day after that she was full blown sick :( She had a cough, sneeze, runny eyes/nose. My poor baby! I took her to the doctor on Thursday and they said she probably has bronchialitis. She was prescribed two medications and we scheduled a follow up appointment on Monday. We went to the doctor Monday and she was a little better, but still sick. She got a chest x-ray done and a small amount of pneumonia was found in one of her lungs so they prescribed her a stronger antibiotic. Today is the second day of taking the medication and she is doing MUCH better. Her sleeping at night hasn't been that great though. She wakes up randomly and screams because she can't breathe out of her nose. I just can't wait for her to feel normal again!

Thanksgiving, Early Christmas, Dedication (picture heavy!)

We went to Massachusetts to visit my husband's family for Thanksgiving. We also celebrated an early Christmas with them! Here is our visit in pictures:

Avery & her auntie (my sil)

Avery & her grammy (my mil)

Avery & her pepere (my fil)

Avery's cousins (my sil's kids)

Opening presents

We had Avery dedicated by her pepere, who is a pastor.

Dedication day

We went to a place called La Salette and there is a big Christmas light display

It was so cold, so we had to bundle Avery up!

Frustrated

Avery hasn't been good at eating solids AT ALL. She started to get a little better but the past couple days she just will NOT eat. She spits it all back out and I can't get any of it in her! It's getting really frustrating.

She only did good eating the peas about twice. Apples, bananas, and rice cereal aren't doing it for her either. I tried mixing apple with her cereal-nope. I tried mixing banana with her cereal-nope. I still haven't made the butternut squash or sweet potatoes yet, but I honestly just think she doesn't like eating off of a spoon. She just wants her bottle!

Does anyone have any advice? I feel like I'm just wasting food and time trying to force feed her all the time and she just spits it ALL out everytime.

Oh, and I wanted to say thank you to Summer at Tutus N' Trucks for making my header! I'm pretty clueless about that kind of stuff ;)

Mmmm!

I just got my Beaba Babycook that I ordered the other day and I love it! It makes making your own baby food so easy. It steams the veggies or fruit and then purees them. There is a steamer basket that you put the fruit or veggies in and then when they're done you just dump them in the processor and you puree them to the desired consistency. So far, I've only done apples & bananas in it. Tomorrow I'm going to try butternut squash & sweet potatoes.

Avery is starting to get better at eating. At first, she didn't want anything to do with it! She definitely didn't like peas and I found out that they have to be warm (and they get cold fast) for her to eat them. Apples seem to be o.k. but bananas seem to be her favorite so far. Rice cereal isn't doing it for her either. I might try mixing some apple or banana in with the cereal and see if she'll like it.

Also, she likes having a chunk of banana in the Munchkin Mesh Feeder. I'm going to try giving her a piece of apple in it tomorrow.

I love this sweet girl so much, even if she doesn't like her veggies! :p
