Sure, Friday when I was told the words "Unfortunately, I'm not seeing a heartbeat" comes in as a close second. But, today? Today was the worst. Even though I knew our baby had already went to heaven and was no longer living inside of me, today was like the FINAL goodbye. What really tore me apart was that they were going to scrape my BABY (or "product of conception" as the nurse said) out and just throw him/her away. I guess there was no alternative, but it just really hit me hard. That was my baby. A part of my husband and I. My daughter's brother/sister. The baby we waited 7 months for. This is hard.

The Worst Day
Today was honestly the worst day of my life as of yet. I had my D&C this morning. Horrible.

Bad news
I went in for an ultrasound this morning and there was no heartbeat. I was supposed to be about 8 weeks 5 days, but it appeared the baby stopped growing somewhere around 6 and a half weeks or so. I'm really upset, but I know God has a plan for my life and this just happens to be part of the plan. I go for a D&C on Monday. Prayers are welcome.

Baby #2
We're so excited to announce that we're expecting another bundle of love!

I saw this on January 15th:
We told my parents the same day:
We Skyped with my husband's parents and told them, too!
I had my first prenatal appointment on January 27th. They gave me an unexpected ultrasound, also. I thought I was 5 weeks and 5 days, but they only saw a gestational sac and yolk sac. I went back for another ultrasound a week later and saw this:

A perfect little babe with a heart rate of 92 bpm. He (it's going to be a boy, I just KNOW it) was measuring 5 weeks and 5 days. So, no wonder they didn't see a baby at my last ultrasound, because I was only 4 weeks and 5 days!
***I started this post February 7th and am now finishing it on the 10th
I went for ANOTHER ultrasound today (Feb. 10th) to "check the viability of the heartbeat". I think they are just scheduling all of these ultrasounds because I have good insurance. Anyway, the tech said that the heart rate (92 bpm) was on the lower side last time so they wanted to check it again today. Well, the heart rate was still 92 bpm today at 6 weeks and 5 days. I was worried at first, but the tech said that it could just be on the lower side because of how early I am. What do you think? Is that normal? Baby was measuring right on track, so that is good! I'll share the pictures from today's ultrasound in another post.
My next prenatal appointment is on March 9th. I'll be 10 weeks and 5 days then, so that's exciting!
I've been having all day nausea on and off for the past three days and it's awful. I'm very picky about what I eat, too. The only thing that I've been "craving" is ice cold water. Hopefully this nausea goes away soon. We're taking a trip to MA (9 hour drive) next Thursday and I don't want to be sick for the whole car ride!
I feel SO blessed that God has given us another child. I'm so happy!
