12 Weeks & a Doctor's Appointment

I'm 12 weeks and 4 days pregnant today. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and we heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time! It was amazing. Loud and clear at 165 bpm! What a relief. I think I'm finally starting to realize that this is really happening. I have my next appointment in 4 weeks on 10/11. At that appointment, they'll schedule my next sonogram for 2 weeks later where we'll get to find out the gender!!

As for how I'm feeling, not too well at the moment. For starter's, the nausea is still lingering and maybe even a little worse than it was a week ago. On top of that, Avery gave me her cold and I feel miserable today!

Here is a belly comparison from 9 to 12 weeks:

I just look fat to strangers, ha! I think within the next few weeks, other people will be able to tell.

I'm so grateful that our baby is still doing great in there! Praise God!

    Congratulations!! The first pregnancy after a miscarriage is ROUGH! In the back of your mind your always wondering if everything is going alright. Hearing the first heartbeat was such a sigh of relief. As hard as it is right now, just try to enjoy your pregnancy and keep faith that everything will turn out wonderful!

      Thanks! It really is. I just keep waiting for something to go wrong, but I do need to just stop and enjoy the pregnancy!

    You look so cute! I remember when I was out in public I felt like I had to push my belly out more so people wouldn't think I was just fat! Then before you know it you will super pregnant.

    Enjoy every moment, of course it's scary but every day you have is a blessed day, and you just have to have faith :) You will be in my prayers the whole way!!

    I rented a doppler with Riley and I loved it. It always reassured me that everything was still fine.
